HOW CAN YOU IMPROVE YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM?

In times like these, it is essential to strengthen your immune system, of course you want to optimise your resistance. Good resistance is the best weapon against all kinds of illness.

Your immune system defends your body against unwanted iinvaders  such as bacteria and viruses.

A healthy diet and regular exercise are the most important ingredients in building and maintaining a good immune system.

Are you curious about what the immune system is, why it can become weak and what you can do to boost it? Read on, we'll show you how!

STRENGTHEN YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

As we age, the pituitary gland produces less and less growth hormone.

As a result, the ability to recover decreases. At the same time, the immune system also loses an important stimulus, T-lymphocytes, which can greatly reduce immune function and, for example, cause infections after heavy exercise or stress.

Recover-Me's special formula stimulates the production of growth hormone and boosts the immune system.

WHAT IS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM?

The immune system is the body's natural defence against infection.

Your immune system attacks germs and helps us stay healthy. Many cells and organs work together to protect the body.

  • General defence::White blood cells, also called leukocytes, travel throughout the body and attack all foreign substances. They play an important role in the immune system.
  • Some types of white blood cells, also known as phagocytes, have the task of removing bad bacteria from the body.
  • Specific defence:  Other blood cells, also called lymphocytes, target one specific invader such as a virus. They help to keep the body strong and healthy .
The two types of lymphocytes are B-lymphocytes and T-lymphocytes.

  1. Lymphocytes are located in the bone marrow and remain there until they mature into B cells. B-lymphocytes can be compared with a kind of intelligence system of the body. They find their targets and send the right cells to fix them.
  2. Some B cells go to the thymus gland to mature into T cells. These T-lymphocytes are the protective cells, they destroy the invaders that cause disease.

Recover-Me stimulates the production of these T-lymphocytes.

THE IMMUNE SYSTEM AND AGE

As we age, the strength of our immune system declines, which is why older people are more likely to contract infectious diseases.

Respiratory infections, influenza and especially pneumonia are a major cause of death worldwide for people over 65.

An important cause is that the immune system reacts less strongly to infections

For example, studies of flu vaccines have shown that a vaccine for people over 65 is much less effective than for younger people.

Boost your immune system

Especially as you get older, is it important that you take the right steps to support your immune system. Sufficient sunlight does wonders for our immune system. Unfortunately sunlight is not always available, so an alternative is to take some extra vitamins C and D.

If we want to protect ourselves extra against diseases, it is desirable to stimulate the production of T lymphocytes. To do this, the pituitary gland in our brain must be stimulated to produce more growth hormones.

As we age, but also if we take poor care of our bodies, our bodies produce fewer T-Lymphocytes and our immune system becomes weaker.

By taking Recover-Me's unque formula in the evening before bedtime, we get a deeper sleep. This deeper sleep increases the production of this growth hormone and stimulates the production of the T lymphocytes. This improves your immune system and your body is better armed against infections.

More tips to improve your immune system

In addition to taking Recover-Me, we have a number of other useful tips that will enable you to significantly improve your immune system yourself. By implementing these tips into your daily life, the chance of infections decreases:

  • Make sure that you get enough sleep- Try to get at least 7-9 hours of sleep per night. In particular the 90 minutes of deeper sleep we need each night to function optimally is essential for an optimal immune system.
  • Exercise - Go out into the fresh air and take a walk more often, a treat for body and mind. In general, any sport is good for overall health. It has been scientifically proven that elderly people who excercise their muscles have better resistance than elderly people who only exercise for fitness. So do some morning gymnastics more often!
  • Reduce the amount of sugar - Too much sugar in the diet reduces the number of cells in the immune system that attack bacteria, an effect that can last for hours. Try to eat more fruits and vegetables instead. These are rich in good nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin E and zinc. Look for brightly coloured fruits and vegetables such as berries, citrus fruits, kiwis, apples, red grapes, kale, onions, spinach, sweet potatoes and carrots. Apart from fruit and vegetables, a fresh garlic and chicken soup are also very good for the body. These dishes can help fight viruses and bacteria.

  • Most bacteria are transmitted by our hands. Washing your hands regularly will significantly reduce the risk of infection.
  • Try to avoid stress - Too much stress undermines our immune system. Meditating ten minutes a day can reduce stress.
  • Smile more - Laughing as often as possible is good for you, it lowers the level of stress hormones and it stimulates the white blood cells to fight infections.

Customer Reviews

For years, when there was a flu, I was sure to be felled. And often I wasn't just a little sick, but I was really sick, out of it for weeks. I also often caught a cold in between. I have been taking Recover-Me for 4 years now and since then I have not had the flu or a cold. I also have asthma and was often very ill in the autumn due to the allergy, which is also as good as gone. I am really happy with this product and take it faithfully every evening.

I am an old man and quite susceptible to flu or colds. At my age, it is definitely a risk to get heavy flu. My niece came up with Recover-Me to make me feel more energetic and to counteract aging a bit. I take it faithfully every night and I do feel more energetic but, equally important, I have never had a cold or caught the flu since taking it. Which is about 3 years now. I can heartily recommend it to everyone.

At times like this, I find it important to have my immune system as strong as possible. When I read about Recover-Me and its Lymphocyte stimulation, I thought it was worth a try. I've been taking it for a while now and I must say I feel a lot fitter and have a lot more energy than before. And I haven't caught the flu or colds in the dark winter months either.

Faster recovery, stimulates the immune system

The good thing about Recover-Me is that it stimulates the immune system. My patients who take Recover-Me recover much faster from an injuries, especcially bone injuries.

It also quickens repair time of damaged tissue and accelerates wound and post-operative healing. Besides all this it has a stimulating effect in the treatment of burns.

This supplement really eases my work and my patients are happy! I strongly recommend it to everyone!

Faster recovery after illness and surgery

I am 85 years old and I have been using Recover-Me for a while. After a while I noticed that I became fitter and had more energy.

After I became seriously ill I recovered faster than anyone expected. I  think that because I had been taking Recover-Me for months that it might have been the push that got me through the sick be, because my immune system had been given a big boost. Even in the hospital, to help my recovery, I took Recover-Me every day when I could swallow again. It was really a miracle how quickly I recovered. Of course also because of my willpower and the good care that I received. I really recommend Recover-Me to everyone. I'll keep taking it every day. het in ieder geval elke dag innemen.

The immune system

The immune system, also known as the defence system, is a very important part of the body. It consists of defence mechanisms against infections caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi. It kills them and clears them out. It also stores information about these invaders. The immune system is located throughout the body, in the skin, intestines, respiratory tract, blood and lymphatic system.

The innate immune system

We have an immune system that is innate and already pre-programmed to recognise some common characteristics of invaders. It consists of white blood cells which are constantly in the blood and lymph and destroy anything they consider foreign. This fast-acting system forms our body's basic defence and is called the "innate immune system".

The acquired immune system

During our lifetime, the immune system remembers the pathogens it has been in contact with once. The next time the same pathogen appears, the immune system knows how to quell that particular infection faster. We call this "acquired immunity". This system works more slowly than the innate system.

The lymphocytes of the immune system

There are 3 types of lymphocytes:

  • T-lymfocyten
  • B-lymfocyten
  • Natural killer cells

T-lymphocytes destroy the cells of pathogens with the help of special substances (cytokines); they can also kill cancer cells. In addition, T lymphocytes put B lymphocytes to work. T lymphocytes also have an important memory function to recognise recurrent infections to which the body can react quickly.

B-lymphocytes are cells that make antibodies and link them to a pathogen. If the pathogen is a virus, the antibodies prevent it from entering the cell. A bacterium is immediately destroyed or pre-processed in such a way that a phagocyte clears it.

Killer cells  are large lymphocytes of the innate immune system. They attack foreign or infected cells and even cancer cells.

Ageing and the immune system

As we age, our ability to produce enough T lymphocytes decreases. Too many worn-out white blood cells continue to circulate and too few new ones arrive. Production of a particula type of T cell, called naïve CD8+ T cell, decreases dramatically after the 20th year of life. Thus, hardly any naive CD8+ T cells still circulate in the blood of 80-year-olds. This is unfavourable, as a large and diverse range of naive CD8+ T cells is needed to respond to new viruses and tumour cells. However, numbers of memory T cells do remain fairly stable between the ages of 18 and 95.(1)

An ageing immune system increases the risk of cancer, pneumonia and cardiovascular disease. The effectiveness of vaccines also decreases with an ageing immune system.

Reduced immunity in the elderly often appears to be caused by a form of micronutrient malnutrition. The diet then contains too few vitamins and minerals.

A diet for adequate resistance includes:

  •   meat, liver and oily fish
  •   egg yolks
  •   whole dairy products
  •   sufficient fruit and vegetables

Stress and the immune system

Yet there are major health differences between adults of the same age. Research on the link between long-term exposure to stress and a less powerful immune system showed that the more long-term stress one had, the older the immune system was.

Lifestyle and the immune system

Near the heart is the Thymus gland in which T cells mature. T cells, play a very important role in the immune system. As one ages, the tissue around the thymus shrinks and is replaced by fatty tissue, reducing the production of immune cells. Poor lifestyle such as poor diet, too much stress, lack of exercise and too little sleep accelerates this process. So a responsible lifestyle is a prerequisite for maintaining the immune system.

The importance of nitric oxide and the immune system

Nitric oxide is involved in destroying micro-organisms and tumour cells. In the immune system, this gas acts as a repellent against bacteria, viruses and parasites. Moreover, nitric oxide stimulates the production of T lymphocytes. As we get older, our ability to produce enough nitric oxide on our own decreases, especially after the age of 40.

Besides its ability to help maintain our immune system, this gas has a positive impact on many other fronts in our body. Some of these include blood pressure, blood flow, arteriosclerosis, cholesterol levels and sleep . A very efficient way to increase nitric oxide levels in the blood is to take Recover-Me.
